Statement Of Intent

I have chosen to explore the question 'Circles'. By completing my initial task of taking 50+ photographs relating to my chosen question, I have found out that circles appear in everyday things, such as makeup, food, signs, clothing, time, buildings, furniture etc. I have chosen three still life photographers to explore, they all have their own style of still life which I want to investigate further. Tom Leighton captures still life in a fun and vibrant way, he takes his photographs from a birds eye view which captures the rawness of his subject areas. I want to incorporate this into my own work where I will explore circles in life. I want to capture circles within someones everyday routine, I will do this by documenting circles through time. I will have a series of 7 blocks of photographs presented as a clock with 24 photographs representing 24 hours in a day. By presenting them as a clock I intend to show the cyclical nature of someones life.
